That Time Richard Pryor Told Tiffany Haddish ‘You’re Getting On My Nerves’

Long before Katt Williams trashed her comedic appeal during a recent radio interview (they’ve since hugged it out), Tiffany Haddish’s standup game was criticized by the greatest to ever do it.

During a 2016 interview to promote her former TV series “The Carmichael Show,” Haddish detailed her serendipitous run-in with the late Richard Pryor in 1997. She was performing on stage at the Laugh Factory Academy Camp. (A social worker made her choose between that or “psychiatric therapy” to address her disruptive behavior in school.)

Haddish, who just won an Emmy for her “Saturday Night Live” hosting gig, said Pryor happened to be in the audience that day and literally rolled up to her with a bad review of her set.
